Gone to Asia for the Holidays
Will be spending Christmas and New Year in Asia this year!
Wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a yummy 2013!
See y’all next year.
P.S. I’ll try to update if possible during the trip.
Panera Bread: Soup for lunch
Dear Food Diary:
As part of Daily Buzz’s Taste Maker Program I was invited to visit Panera bread and try their soups. One of the reasons I agreed was their choice of ingredients – fresh, thoughtfully sourced. Plus, there’s nothing more heartwarming than a bowl of soup on a cold day.
The Mermaid Inn has inexpensive Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve options
During this time of year a lot of restaurants put out their “special” menus at absurd prices! But The Mermaid Inn has decent prices and even happy hour! They are on my nice list for sure.
[MENDOZA, ARGENTINA]: 5 Course Lunch Tasting by the Vineyards of Bodega Ruca Malen
Dear Food Diary:
During our second day in Mendoza, our hotel concierge arranged a day of wine tasting and lunch for us. As we drove into the grounds of Bodega Ruca Malen, I thought to myself, this is what I had envisioned Mendoza’s wine road to be and more. Picture perfect day topped off by a spectacular 5 course lunch with wine pairing right by the vineyards. How did I get so lucky!
Le Palais des Thés: Perfect gifts for tea lovers
Dear Food Diary:
If you have a tea lover on your list, Le Palais des Thés might be worth a visit. This UWS shop is the French Tea House’s first store in the US. A great selection of fine teas from all over. Perfectly packaged gift boxes come pretty handy for the holidays… you can relax and take a sip of tea while shopping.
