Dear Food Diary:
I’m not quite sure if I’ve been naughty or nice this year, so I’m just gonna play it safe and leave some really yummy artisanal cookies for Santa, he won’t be able to resist and I don’t have to spend a fortune (these Fairway cookies were only $7.99 a pound). Win, win.

They come in a gold holiday box, ribbon and all. Great for sharing with friends and family. My box came complimentary from the folks at Fairway. From the top, there’s Raspberry Poppy Seed, Chocolate Sea Salt,  Pecan Sandies, Holiday Sugar Cookies and Dulce de Leche.

My favorite was the Pecan Sandy. Nutty and crumbly melt in your mouth buttery goodness. Like a shortbread cookie. The Raspberry Poppy Seed was also a winner, sweet and tart with a fresh lemon burst and poppy seeds for texture.

If Santa doesn’t show up, I’ll eat them myself with milk and tea while shopping online and getting my own Christmas present. LOL.
