Hill Country Chicken: is there a Popeyes nearby?

Hill Country Chicken 1
Dear Food Diary:
Just the thought of fried chicken makes me giggle like a silly school girl on a sugar high. I enjoy it when I’m happy and devour it when I’m sad. Either way, this is a win-win relationship.
Hill Country Chicken  2
Walked… I mean, hoped and jumped in to Hill Country Chicken… this was an exciting day, Chubby Chinese Boy and I planned our 24 hrs around it. All natural, well treated chicken who eat healthier than I do, sure, sure! I dig, I dig.

CRUMBS: Booooooooooooooottery Halloween

Dear Food Diary:
We got these cute treats at work today. I can refuse a cupcake  from Crumbs, but not when they look like this! Literally so cute I just wanted to eat them! Unfortunately, well… I guess great for them, they aren’t edible (rubber finger puppets).

Ma Peche: Revisited… Regular Menu this time

Dear Food Diary:
During my last visit they were still serving the preview menu at $10, a definite steal when it comes to anything David Chang related. I pinched myself and yes, it was too good to be true. Now lets check out the new regular menu.

MAZE by Gordon Ramsay: What the %!$#%$!&^@$#

Dear Food Diary:
I’m going to start this post by stating that I don’t usually use foul language (unless it’s totally necessary). I don’t condone it either. With that said, this review is for Maze by Gordon Ramsay. They say when in Rome do as the Romans do, therefore, when at Maze speak as Gordon would. (I’ll try anyways, his potty mouth is on an unreachable level that  would make me blush). This is from Winter Restaurant Week 2010, I know I’m a little behind, but I’m trying to catch up since Restaurant Week just started).

Excellent Pork Chop House: Anything but excellent, specially not the pork chops

Dear Food Diary:
Since it’s almost Chinese New Year, this coming week, I’ve decided to dedicate my upcoming posts to ma’ peoples! Ni hao chinese restaurant week! From cheap eats to well… more cheap eats. Rarely are good chinese places expensive, we are too honest and fair. Sometimes, I feel like telling them, with a little more hype and advertising/social media, you can charge double, but I refrain… looking out for all our wallets.
