Summer Fordcast Tour @ AC Food & Wine Festival

Summer Fordcast Ford Focus 2

Dear Food Diary:
Still recovering from the fun weekend in Atlantic City’s Food and Wine Festival. I partnered up with Summer Fordcast Tour. Hung out with the crew, learned about the new 2012 Focus features, ate, drank and met new friends.

Foodbuzz 24×24: CONCH TASTING in Turks & Caicos

Dear Food Diary:
The best way to enjoy this post: Put on some island music in the background and have a fruity tropical drink, maybe with a dash or two of rum. For this month’s Foodbuzz 24×24, I spend a sunny day Conch Tasting around the beautiful islands of Turks and Caicos with my friend S. We go diving for conchs and do a tasting (prepared in all sorts of ways) around the island. Not to mention, our first taste of the natural Viagra of the Caribbean! LOL (yes, it comes within the conch).

NESPRESSO PIXIE with Ted Allen and Pixie Lott

Dear Food Diary:
As a food blogger I get invited to a variety of events, not all of them turn out to be worth my time, but this last Nespresso private media event at their Soho Boutique was an awesome one.

Dining on the L train

I don’t take the L train often, actually ever! But if I had to, I’d pay $100 for this yummy ride!!! Awesome idea, even in a city where there’s seems to be everything! LOVE IT!!! read more about it on a razor, a shiny knife

Chinese New Year in Chinatown: Dim Sum at Ping’s, Karaoke, Bubble Tea, and Dinner

Dear Food Diary:
Kung Hei Fat Choy 恭喜發財!!! Happy and Prosperous year of the Rabbit!!!

If you’re planning to celebrate at the Annual Chinatown Luna New Year Parade and Festival this Sunday 6th (details here), you could make it a full day event of fun, food and more food in Chinatown. I guess minus the lion and dragon dances, this could be an itinerary for any day.

MORNING: Dim Sum at Ping’s Restaurant
Pings-Seafood-Restaurant-Dim-Sum-1
The festivities start at 11am, plenty of time to fill your tummy first. The best dim sum place in Chinatown is Ping’s Restaurant. My all time favorite and to go place for these tasty Hong Kong style “tapas”. It might be a little pricier and everything is smaller, but you honestly get what you pay for. Delicately made, authentic flavors and always consistent.
