Last Saturday we went down to this year’s NY Chocolate Show with one thing in mind… make our sweet tooth silly happy. With my press pass in hand, I went off to sampling bite after bite of chocolate goodies like an true chocoholic.

Diner en Blanc NY 2012 “Magical night”

It’s been a year since I’ve been on the priority wait list for Diner en Blanc, so you could imagine my excitement when I finally got the confirmation. Last year, their first event in NYC got a bit messy due to system errors that allowed everyone to sign up, thankfully this time around things were a lot smoother.
Creator Francois Pasquier started this “white” picnic with a handful of friends in Paris (white was easier to spot in the crowd). Now, 24 years later, Diner en Blanc has spread to 22 cities across 5 continents. Totally viral, part flash mob and part fancy dinner party/picnic. The location is kept secret until the last minute.
Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival 2012 Recap

Last weekend I was invited by Caesar Entertaintment to attend their annual Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival. Unlike last year, I didn’t have any “work“. The 2 days included eating, drinking, tweeting and some fun playing slots.
I couldn’t make it Friday night to hang out with my foodie hero Andrew Zimmern, but finally meeting the man who taught me more than just to “boil water” aka hottie Tyler Florence was pretty sweet.
